This GMT-Master is in overall great vintage condition. The case is in good condition with normal signs of wear. The red back bezel is in great, attractive condition with some normal signs of wear/ scratches. The colors have faded a bit and the red has more of a pink hue. The matte black dial is overall great condition with light patina. The lume on the dial has developed patina and aged to a beautiful pale yellow color. The hands have developed patina. The lume in the hands has aged to a lovely pale yellow color matching the lume on the dial; the lume in the hour hand shows some wear/cracking. The C&I Oyster bracelet is in good condition with normal signs of wear; it has a bit of stretch between the links which is not uncommon.
The GMT Master is Rolex’s signature pilot’s watch, complete with dual-time capabilities. It came to market in 1955, with ref. 1675 following shortly after in 1959. It’s one of the most sought-after vintage Rolex watches on the secondary market because it’s instantly recognizable with its 24-hour bezel and dedicated GMT hand. The Rolex 1675 was also notably the first GMT Master to use crown guards. Rolex initially used glossy dials in the 1675 until around 1966 and switched to matte dials.
This circa 1971 "Pepsi" GMT has a Mark I matte dial and collectors refer to this dial variation as a Mark I "Long E." When looking at the "Rolex" text on the dial the "E" has a longer central bar (same length as the top and bottom ones) and that is where this nickname comes from.
This example comes with its box and "double punched" papers. "Double punched" papers means that it has the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet with guarantee inside that has the corresponding punched serial number and the punched chronometer papers; two sets of punched papers. When looking inside the "Your Rolex Oyster" booklet at the guarantee section it shows the original retailer stamp of "Granat Bros" who was located in San Mateo - we love that this was originally sold in California! This also comes with the little black "How it works" pamphlet that shows the user how to operate the bezel, by pushing down - super cool. In addition to these goodies, the watch has developed a lovely look over the years from the perfectly aged pale yellow lume to the bezel where the red is now leaning to a pinkish-raspberry color. It's amazing how all of these watches age a little differently which is a great reason to go for something vintage.

Great watch and very good help from Sam Berger who catered to my concerns.

Well represented watch in excellent condition. Super fast shipping. My second purchase from Bobs but not my last. Their watches seem to be in better condition than many of the others I’ve seen online.
The whole transaction process with Bob's is always top notch. The vintage watch was functioning as expected, the case is relatively strong with minimal polishing, and the dial is a beautiful service dial as expected.
I really like this beautiful 1675 with fuchsia bezel.
Quick e-mail responses, systematic
I have worn this watch everyday for 47 years, had it cleaned every 8 or so years, had the bezel replaced with the new one back in the 80s. Paid $400 in Switzerland in 1970. This is the greatest lifetime deal ever!!
