While other editions of the watch have fluted bezels and polished center links, the Rolex 18078 features a striking barked texture. This feature is inherently retro and adds a level of charm and sophistication to the entire watch. This watch was advertised as circa 1983 in excellent condition. I could not find one flaw on it. It is as close to mint as any watch I have seen at a dealer's store. The bark finish is much more stunning in person than it is in photographs. I am beyond pleased that I made the choice for the bark finish. Anyone else deciding on bark finish, do yourself a favor and see one in person. They are fabulous!
