Description: Rolex Daytona 16523
Pre-owned Rolex Daytona ref 16523 (1995) is also commonly called a Zenith El Primero Daytona. It features the caliber 4030, a self-winding mechanical movement made by Zenith that Rolex modified to remove the date and beat at a rate of 28,800 bph (compared to the standard El Primero that beats at a rate of 36,000 bph.) This movement was the first automatic in the series, replacing the first generation of outsourced manual-winding movements. Rolex would eventually discontinue the caliber 4030 and replace it with the in-house caliber 4130, making watches like this two-tone Daytona incredibly collectible. This ref. 16523 is an excellent opportunity to add a coveted El Primero Daytona to your collection in excellent secondhand condition.
